FLAT DETAILS: 

The Mehari living room
Everybody has already slept in a car and how could you not forget it: really uncomfortable. But not at Paris Champion... Do you remember the Citroen Mehari? But of course, Louis Funes’s car in "The Gendarmes in St Tropez"! Well I have transformed one into a bed. Honestly. The kids will love being at the steering wheel and changing gears. The parents will prefer the suspension... You can’t miss it: bright orange. And you can even flash the lights!!
Just next to it is the eating area and the kitchen with a huge flat screen T.V. Downstairs is reached via a staircase secured by children’s security gates and non-slip steps. Over this two huge giant ceiling lights in the form of tennis balls with multi coloured water bottles.

The "Tour de France" themed bedroom
So lets talk a bit about cycling? Do you know polka dot jerseys? Since 1975 they are the reward for the best climbers in the "Tour de France". I have decided to reproduce the same effect in red on the walls, the ceiling and of course the bed. You will fall asleep thinking about a real cycle race in levitation, unless of course you prefer to count the spots…

The Games Room

Don’t wait to see poker tables or slot machines it’s all about games: table football, hoops, skittles, indoor bowls, mini basket ball etc. Enough to have furious family games or with friends. Hopefully it will rain!!
When they have had enough the kids can rest in the big beds. Small exclusivity for Paris Champion: a few days before they arrive the kids can choose their bed sheets in the Sleeping library. From Barbie Dolls to Wrestlers, there is something for everyone.

The Bathroom
"Blue mosaique, lockers to put things away in. Atmosphere swimming pool!! Lets jump in !! There are even changing rooms. Huh... well not really. I see a telephone. A phone box then??? Yes that exists, there is even a toilet inside this phone box. A telephone toilet!! Too cool!!"
On this subject there is a height gauge on the wall. The children love to measure themselves and they will adore this. On the other hand nothing for the adults... they prefer to weigh themselves. Everyone must have a good time when on holiday...

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:

Ahh Montmartre… I could talk to you for ever about this place. Picturesque stairs, its painters, its cable car taking us up to the famous white basilique, its vineyards, its cabarets and of course one of the most beautiful views of Paris. But I will let “The Lonely Planet Guide” do the talking telling you everything you need to know about this very touristic quarter. Leaving me to tell you in more detail all about the area around the flat: Poteau Street. As soon as you come out of the tube Jules Joffrin opposite the town hall of the 18th district you will see that you are in a very authentic & lively part of Paris. Lots of local shopkeepers (bakers, grocers, cheese shops & wine shops), quality supermarkets like Monoprix and lots of bars & restaurants. The market in Rue Ordener is well worth the visit as well as the bakery "Au Petrin d’Antan" which for several years has received the "Best Croissant Award" of the capital. I can also tell you that you can find the best Vietnamese Restaurant in the North of Paris here and how to re-assure your children with the best profiteroles. To have a drink there is nowhere better than "The Renaissance" a jewel from the 30ties which has been used as a film décor for the last film from Quentin Taratino. Where the fashionable "people" rub shoulders with "real" artistes. These local people and the image they give represents the authentic atmosphere of the 18th district.

>> by car: Drive to Porte de Saint-Clignancourt ("Périphérique" ring road). Free parking space in underground car park (manned 24/7, located 700 m away from the apartment, value 25 EUR per day). Maximum height: 2,30m (terrace), 1,90 m (underground levels).

The Flat is well served by the public transport. Here are some of the direct routes:
Subway line 12, "Jules Joffrin" station, 540m away from the apartment (7 minutes) : Saint-Lazare (duration: 9min), Concorde (12min)
Subway line 4, "Porte de Clignancourt" station, (500m / 6min) : Gare du Nord / Gare de l'Est (5min), Châtelet / Notre-Dame (12min), Saint-Michel (16min), Denfert-Rochereau (25min)
